Editorial Policy

Authorship and review

Every clinical page names its author and a separate medical reviewer with relevant training or certification. The medical reviewer checks the page for clinical accuracy, guideline alignment, and appropriate citation before publication and at each subsequent review.

Review cycle

Clinical pages display a “last reviewed” date. Pages are reviewed on a rolling basis, and sooner when a relevant guideline is updated or an error is reported.

Sourcing

Clinical claims are supported by citations to peer-reviewed literature, major society guidelines (for example, the American Society of Echocardiography or the European Society of Cardiology), or standard reference textbooks. Claims without an available citation are not published.

Images

All figures are labeled as placeholder, illustrative, or sourced, and no patient-identifiable imagery is used without explicit, documented consent and institutional approval. Case library entries are de-identified.

Corrections

If a factual or clinical error is identified, it is corrected as soon as practical and the page’s “last reviewed” date is updated. Report a suspected error via our Contact page.
